The Bonneville Power Administration contracted with Cultural Reconnaissance in 2019 to conduct a survey and author a report on the integrity of the Oregon Lumber Company Railway.  The Oregon Lumber Company Railway is a linear cultural resource, that is mostly in ruin, which was listed to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.  Cultural Reconnaissance has provided updated maps of the resource, a context to better understand the resource significance, and will be responsible for conducting two (or more) public presentations on the history of the Oregon Lumber Company Railway.

In 2021, Cultural Reconnaissance was responsible for following up with an after-action review and providing an amended National Register Nomination to BPA and OR-SHPO. In 2021, BPA asked Cultural Reconnaissance to provide a defense for a National Register delisting of the OLC. In 2023, Cultural Reconnaissance will facilitate public hearings in Oregon on the importance of the railroad.
